day 6

This is the day we went to Mazatlan.

This is how we were woken up. Ryan groaned and put a pillow over his head. I danced on the balcony. Can you tell who was excited?

He's eating a bowl of (dry) fruit loops in his bed. After we finally dragged him out of bed. He is not a morning person.

We took a taxi tour of town

with Jorge

and we saw a revered statue of the Virgin Mary that was pulled from the sea
and about 4000 statues dedicated to something or other
and the local Colombian/Mexican mafia compound.
No joke.

And guess what? Our driver said they own most of the area hotels and casinos and we could tell because there were guards with machine guns outside of those hotels.

Mazatlan makes me nervous.

Ok, back to happy taxi ride:
The driver dropped us off at the back door of a jewelry store so that we had to walk through it to get to the main street. (nice, right)

Shockingly, they weren't really interested in selling a family with a huge stroller and a two year old and jewelry. Go figure.
And then we walked around the shops and William flirted with the local girls.

We ran into a bunch of family and joined them at the beach.

Sand on his little toes.
